James Murray is an artist and musician with a BFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts Boston & Tufts University and an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. His work has been exhibited and screened nationally and internationally. His work can be found in the archives of both the Kinsey Institute and the Joan Flash Artists’ Book Collection. His work explores the languages, histories, narratives, archetypes and spaces of queer communities both past and present through materials that include sound, drawing, new media, video, performance and books. He resides in Chicago.
